About Us
A very friendly country inn situated on the banks of Bugsworth Canal basin, in the High Peak district. Providing real ales, home-cooked food and accommodation. Jan and Roger welcome you to the Navigation Inn.
Once owned by Pat Phoenix, aka Coronation streets Elsie Tanner, the Navigation became an inn over 200 hundred years ago and still retains it’s original character.
It’s more than just a pub; it’s probably the best hostelry in the world.

The Inn
The Inn proudly boasts : Games Room – Fun area for darts, dominoes, pool table and a store of children’s games
A Snug area – for those cosy quiet and intimate moments by the log burning fire. A Bar area – warm and friendly banter with everyone who wants to, coffee lounge – relax in front of an open fire. Children’s play area – swings and slides, spacious car park – suitable for car, bike or steam rallies, accommodation with en-suite available.
The Restaurant
Please note we are happy to discuss individual requirements and formulate menus to suit any function or visit.
We can cater for many food allergies or intolerances, including having menu items, drinks and snacks available for coeliacs.
Accommodation
We offer comfortable double, twin and family en-suite rooms. Each room has a flat-screen digital TV, hospitality tray, and complimentary toiletries. Prices Including full English Breakfast, Single £35, Double £55 and Family (1 double, 1 single) £65.
